Author’s Notes: While the relationship between Amba and Horace is critical to the overarching story in the series, this scene was cut because it just didn’t seem to fit with everything else in Dragon Vs. Unicorn, including the major themes of the dangers of war and reincarnation.
This scene takes place after the trench falls, while an undead Horace and pregnant Amba are still in the tunnels. It explains why Pagat and Tourette are killed in Manx. Also in this section, Horace gives the wedding ring to Amba. In the final version of the novel, Amba takes the ring from him for their daughter.
