It wasn't love at first sight when I met Zephyr Sumner.
Which must be how he knew I was the one he was waiting for. The one to break his curse.
The only problem is that breaking his curse? It will cause more problems than it solves. And to be honest, I'm not sure our love can endure it.
"Don't break the curse."
Ginger Harper
Life's not fair.
At least, that's what I think when my country music dad and his band, Texas Toast, go back on the road for a reunion tour and ship me off to a boarding school in Nowhere, Oregon. Away from my friends and family.
Well, not so much friends. I've been a loner for two years - since my best friend's brother was swept out to sea. Something that I saw in waking dreams for weeks before the accident.
Not that I think I'm psychic or anything. Just crazy.
At least, that's what I believed until I met Maureen "Cat" Douglas and Reema Zerelli, who informed me that visions are just the Sight. I'm a blood witch, with an unshakable destiny.
This pleasant tidbit is quickly derailed by new visions. Images of ice and snow monsters claiming H.G. Hilton Preparatory Academy and Boarding School. The only clue to prevent this disaster is the name Bran - an ancient deity under a curse that only I can break.
What curse? No one knows. How will I break it? Not a clue.
But we have until the winter solstice to figure it out.
Otherwise, Doomsday.
About the Series
You Want to Break This Curse? Don't.
Breaking curses are good in the movies. They lead to true love and happily ever after.
But that's not the case for Ginger Harper after she breaks the curse on her deity boyfriend.
But to be fair, he always said, "Don't." So the only person she has to blame for the consequences is herself.
