Family: Reema is raised as the middle child and only daughter of Nona and Scott Zerelli. Her older brother, Ehsaan, is her Irish twin, while her brother, Amir, is five years younger.

Hometown: New Hartford, NY.

Powers: Communicates with words in books, which also allows her to feel/see what someone was feeling when they wrote a personal note. As the most grounded character at the start of the series, it makes sense that she would align with earth.

Backstory: Reema's parents had her when they were seventeen and eighteen, respectively. As a way to make ends meet, they made a deal with a deity. They got an apartment complex from the arrangement that keeps them financially stable, but barely. Hearing about the deal all her life makes Reema wary of gods. She doesn’t regret her upbringing, as she feels it’s made her humble in ways that others at Horton may not understand. However, she desperately wants to have better opportunities than her parents could as teen parents, which pushes her to do better than Cody Wyatt in the school rankings. She eventually wants to attend Cornell, and accomplishing her goals are her top priorities.

Relationships: Geneir Acosta (dating, books 1 & 2), Cody Wyatt (academic rival books 1 & 2; lover, book 3).

Hobbies: Her major hobby and greatest joy is reading. In terms of music, she listens to sounds of nature to relax.
