Family: Ginger is the youngest child of actress Lina Harper and country music artist Joshua Gowie (AKA Joshie G). Her sister, Aubrey, is three years older than her and attends San Fran Academy of Arts at the beginning of the book.

Hometown: Raised in Monterey, CA, Ginger grew up in wealth.

Powers: Visions of the future and aligns with fire.

Backstory: Two years prior to DBTC (book 1), Ginger knowingly killed her first love, though most people believe it was an accident. She's still suffering from the guilt at the beginning of the novel. Upon moving to H.G. Horton, Ginger is hesitant to create new friendships with fellow witches Cat and Reema, after physical interactions with both prompt her visions to return. This time they promise an ominous, blistery winter nightmare. She also holds back from pursuing her romantic attraction to inconsistently friendly Zephyr Sumner, as she fears she’ll hurt another person she loves.

Relationships: Leo Nayres (lover, prior to book 1), Zephyr Sumner (love interest, books 1-3), Nikolai (implied attraction, books 2 & 3).

Hobbies: Prior to Leo's accident, she was a fan of surfing and fencing, but the experience caused her to dissociate from her friends and hobbies.
