Family: Cat is the second and youngest child of Henry Douglas and Ingrid Douglas-Burrows. Nicknamed “Kitty Cat” by her dad. She has a brother, Jake, who’s two years ahead of her and works at H.G. Horton while trying to get his comedy career up and running.

Hometown: Born in Fryeburg, Maine, Cat’s family moved to Nowhere, Oregon, after her father disappeared and her mom got an administrative position at H.G. Horton to start over. 

Powers: Cat is an empath, and can read the emotions of people around her. It’s not to be confused with mind reading, as she often misinterprets what she reads. She aligns with air, a reflection of her flighty nature.

Backstory: Cat's father disappeared without any notice when she was three. While she seems accepting of the idea that dad's sometimes just leave, a part of her believes he may have died and is currently haunting her.

Relationships: Jeremy Reeves (lover, book 1), Brianna Ruiz (lover, book 1), Maggie (implied attraction, books 2 & 3).

Hobbies: Shopping, eating junk food, and colorful fashion. She loves the neo-emo band Hearts’ Blood Flow ("My Chemical Romance meets Panic! At the Disco for Gen Z"), and jokingly claims she’ll marry lead singer Zade Havenly some day.
